FunZone is back this summer!
This summer, from June 27 to August 15, Gothia Towers opens the doors to our popular kids’ area, FunZone. A place filled with activities for both younger and older children.
You’ll find an action corner, crafts, table tennis, face painting and more. There will also be a movie screening every day and a disco on weekends. And if you’re lucky, our mascots Egon & Trippelina might stop by to say hello.
The area is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00.

Summer buffet at Corner
This summer, children take centre stage at our restaurant Corner. We serve a generous kids’ buffet filled with familiar favourites, making it easy to sit down and enjoy a meal together. For adults, there’s a wide selection from our à la carte menu. For the youngest guests, a playroom is located just next door, perfect for little breaks between bites.
Welcome to Corner. Right by the hotel entrance, at Korsvägen, with an outdoor seating area overlooking Liseberg.
Summer at FunZone, where the day fills with play
For our youngest guests, the days take on a rhythm of their own. At FunZone, summer is filled with activities included for those staying with us, from the first game of the morning to the last laugh of the evening. An easy way for children to explore, try something new and meet new friends, while everything you need is gathered under one roof.
Play corner by Jollyroom
A little world of its own for our younger guests. Playhouses, mini kitchens and soft corners to settle into between adventures. Here, play unfolds at its own pace, and imagination is free to wander.
Kidz Hangout
A place to pause, sit down and let the games take over. Challenge each other to a game of oversized chess, pick up a deck of cards or discover something new among our board games. A space for both calm moments and laughter, where new friendships often begin.
Selfie Station
Capture the moment just as it is. Take photos together, record short clips or create something entirely your own in front of the camera. Here, the memories become part of the experience, something to bring home with you.
Quiz walk
Head out on a walk through the area and see who knows the most. Questions appear along the way, and answers are gathered on the way back. Everyone can join in, and it might just be you who comes out on top when we count the results on August 17.
Staff-led activities
Our Kidz Ambassadors will be on site, hosting a variety of activities for different ages throughout the day.

Treasure hunt
Every Wednesday and Thursday, a treasure hunt takes place at FunZone. Our Kidz Ambassadors hide candy bags around the area. Limited number available, first come, first served.

Movie time
A chance to slow down and enjoy a film. We screen two movies every day. You can buy sweets and popcorn from our lobby bar Twentyfourseven.

Always at Gothia Towers
Staying at a hotel is an adventure in itself, but here there’s always something extra for children and teenagers to enjoy. In the hotel, you’ll always find shuffleboard, table tennis, iWall, playrooms, games and more in our lobby. During school holidays and selected weekends, we add even more activities for children throughout the house.
Hello kids!
Meet Egon, Trippelina and Gustav – Gothia Towers’ very own mascots. You’ll spot them around the hotel in different ways, on colouring sheets, soft toys and other fun surprises. And if you’re lucky, you might even run into Egon in the hotel lobby.
Where do the names come from?
Our blue mascot, Egon, is named after the figure in the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre’s logo. It represents Mercury, the Roman god and protector of trade and merchants. Many years ago, the figure in the logo was given the nickname Egon. We don’t quite know how the name came about, but it has stayed with us ever since. As a way of honouring our history, we named our blue mascot Egon.
Our yellow mascot, Trippelina, is named after the Triple Towers project – the construction of our third tower.
Our green mascot, Gustav, is named after the king who once inaugurated the very first exhibition here, His Majesty King Gustav V. The opening took place in 1918, with great celebration.
