There’s always room to play

There’s plenty to discover at Gothia Towers even when the day’s adventures outside the hotel are over. Hello, kids!

 

Meet Egon, Trippelina and Gustav! They are Gothia Towers’ very own mascots. You’ll spot them here and there around our hotel, on colouring pages, as cuddly toys and in other fun places. And if you’re lucky, you might even bump into Egon in our hotel lobby!

 

Where do their names come from?

 

Our blue mascot, Egon, is named after the figure in the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre’s logo! The figure represents Mercury, the Roman god who protected merchants and trade. A long time ago, the figure in the logo was given the nickname Egon. We’re not quite sure how the nickname came about, but it has stuck ever since. We love keeping our history alive, so we decided to name our blue mascot Egon.

 

Our yellow mascot, Trippelina, is named after the Triple Towers project, when we built our third tower!

 

Our green mascot, Gustav, is named after King Gustav V of Sweden, who officially opened the very first exhibition here back in 1918, with plenty of pomp and ceremony!
