International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare

The International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare will be held at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Gothia Towers on 12-15 April, bringing together 3,400 delegates from around 80 countries. This year’s event is also officially the biggest ever in the forum’s 21 year history. The International Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare is arranged by the British Medical Journal (BMJ) and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), and is one of the world’s largest gatherings for quality improvement professionals working within healthcare and patient safety.

The forum will feature more than 200 international speakers, over a hundred sessions and seminars, exhibitions and poster exhibitions, and will occupy virtually every space at the centre.

Three more congresses focusing on health will be held at the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre and Gothia Towers this spring and summer. Later in April, 1,300 participants will attend Sweden’s largest cardiac care meeting, the Swedish Cardiovascular Spring Meeting. The European Obesity Summit research meeting will bring 3,000 participants from around the world to Gothenburg in June. At the end of June, 600 nutritional researchers and clinical professionals will attend the Nordic Nutrition Conference to present the latest research findings.
